Hi Friend,
I have a question. Have you ever felt like everyone around you was looking at you? Like everyone noticed every little thing you did. Like if you make a wrong move or do something out of the ordinary everyone will notice. Well, me too. I can remember being in high school and holding back my personality and being shy. This was partially because that's just who I was BUT, it's also because I was scared of what other people would think. High school is kind of a cruel place and just a weird time in your life. You're not really sure who you are or what you want to be in life. It's also a time when you "have to have" the "cool things." (Whatever that means for you) Trust me I know exactly how that one goes. There are a lot of things that have changed for me since I've been in college and a lot of things I noticed about people. One of those things is, no one really pays that much attention to things you're doing. No one is actually looking at you. By that I mean, no one is staring at you if you eat lunch alone in the cafe. No, one looks at you funny if you order your 5th cup of coffee at the library (except for maybe your concerned friends haha). You can literally fall asleep in the library and all people say is "man I feel that" or "I wish that was me right now". You can do pretty much whatever and almost everyone supports you or doesn't even notice. Everyone in college is going through the same things and we are all just trying to make it out alive. So, to all my college gals/guys out there, don't be afraid to show your personality and be yourself. This is the time in life when you really start to figure out who you are. Let that person shine through. Do whatever you have to do to be happy. No matter what that is, just do it. Join that club, sleep where ever you get a chance, order that 5th cup of coffee. College is hard, don't be afraid to admit that. Don't be afraid to not be the smartest person in class. Ask for help. No one thinks you're dumb. Let your friends know when you're struggling because chances are, so are they. You can't do college alone and you shouldn't feel like you have to. So, if you're struggling let's talk! I'm here to help and be your rock. Let's do this college thing together, because I struggle too.
